Fall Festivities and Holiday Happenings at Lehman’s…

Looking for a kinder, gentler shopping experience this year? Throughout the holiday season, we invite you to enjoy live music and a relaxing atmosphere for your Christmas shopping at Lehman’s, on the square in Kidron, Ohio. Hear the best in local talent, sample some refreshments, and make sure you take time to visit the Trail of Trees – each department in the store will have a uniquely decorated tree featuring Lehman’s products. One more thing: bring a toy for the People to People Ministries Christmas toy drive and receive a free gift!

Note: There is no charge to attend any of the following special events.

Thursday, November 29 at 7 p.m. – Does that ring a bell? Join us for a concert by The King’s Ringers of The First United Methodist Church, Massillon. This three-octave handbell and chime choir was formed in 1975 and today consists of 13 members. The King’s Ringers will be performing mostly sacred Christmas music.

Thursday-Saturday, December 6 to 8: Christmas Open House at Lehman’s and Millstream Plaza

  • Finish up (or just begin) your Christmas shopping this weekend in Kidron
  • Enjoy special events at Lehman’s each day

Varsity Singers performing at a past Old-Fashioned Christmas

Thursday evening, December 6 at 7 pm, join the Central Christian Varsity Singers for our annual old-fashioned Christmas. This event kicks off the Christmas Open House weekend at Lehman’s. The choir will begin with traditional Christmas carols inside the store, and then will lead a processional outside for a reading of the Christmas story and a candlelighting ceremony.

Friday, December 7, from 11 am to 2 pm, enjoy the music of Valley Voices. Judithe and Chuck Craig perform American folksongs, accompanying themselves on guitar, mandolin and harmonica. Using their wide repertoire of songs from all eras of our country’s history, they educate as well as entertain.

On Saturday, December 8, from 9 am to 11 am, don’t miss the unique opportunity to hear a local Amish youth choir as they present an informal concert. We’ll also serve cocoa and cookies.

Don’t miss our other special performances in December:

Thursday, December 13 at 7 pm, the 33-member Dalton High School Jazz Band will perform Jazz and Big Band Christmas selections. The group performs twice each year with a Christmas tour during the Holidays and a Spring tour in April/May. This is the first year for a concert at Lehman’s.

Sonnenberg Station

Thursday, December 20 at 7 pm, Lehman’s will ring with the voices of Sonnenberg Station. This local, 14-member male chorus performs mostly acappella music. Though their name is inspired by a local historical landmark near many of their homes, their music draws from a variety of inspirations. The winter season’s repertoire will include new and old Christmas songs, several choral classics as well as some spirituals.
