Our Store Is Packed With Fun Events For March And April

We have some many fun things happening this spring, including a meet and greet with Doug and Stacy (pictured above). Read on for more details.

There’s always something to see and do at Lehman’s! This spring join us for our family-fun events and simple-living workshops in our Ohio store. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening in March and April.

March 12
Homeschool Days 9:30AM-11:30AM – $5
Farmer Boy: Past and Present – Homeschooling and homesteading mom, Karen Geiser and her 10-year-old son, Obie will share history and activities from Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder along with adventures and projects of a modern farm boy. We will be churning butter, grinding wheat, learning about some of Obie’s farm projects, trying out spinning gourds and more. Click here to register.

Homeschool Days 9:30AM-11:30AM – $5
Learn all about apples with hands-on activities and expert knowledge by Amy Murray. PLUS learn the science and history behind Aladdin lamps by Lehman’s own Mr. Chuck! Click here to register.

March 21
Ladies Night Out 5:30PM-8:00PM – $5 at the doorLadies' NightLooking for a fun night of friends, food, and laughter? Join us at Ladies Night Out on March 21 for all this and more! Every attendee will receive a gift bag (while supplies lasts) and a chance to win one of five great gift baskets. Take one of our distinct classes and taste your way through a delicious spread of some of our employee’s favorites. Don’t forget to stop by the photo booth to get a picture of you and your favorite gals! Grab your grandma, your mom, your best friends, or your daughter and join us for a fun and entertaining night out!

April 6
The Art of Growing Flowers 2PM-3PM – $15Garden ClassLocal gardener Karen Geiser will share ideas on growing flowers for cutting, flowering plants that attract pollinators, edible blooms and more! Click here to register.

Bunny Hop 10AM-3PM – FREE
Join us for our annual Bunny Hop! Come to Lehman’s to pet live bunnies and baby chicks, have a child friendly snack, and do an Easter themed craft. Plus participate in an egg hunt! Then hop on over to Smucker’s to meet the Easter Bunny, grab brunch (served until noon) and do another craft! It’s going to be a hoppin’ great day!

April 20
This day is packed with four events:

Children’s Gardening Workshop 2PM-3PM -$10
Start them young in the garden! We will have kid friendly hands-on garden projects to inspire your children to grow their own plants. We will look at seeds and sprouting, plant care, cool heirloom varieties plus make newspaper pots and plant seeds in one of the raised beds in the Lehman’s patio garden. Click here to register.

Beginners Guide to Raising Chickens 2:00PM-3:30PM – $15
Local Amish man, AJ Miller has his own flock of 50 hens to provide eggs for his family. He with his wife not only own Creek Valley Farm but are raising 5 boys that help with raising all their meals possible from their farm. Click here to register.
