Switchel (Amish Haying Drink)

Some switchel recipes hearken back to American Colonial days. This version is still enjoyed by the Amish during busy times on the farm, such as haying or threshing. It’s an excellent refreshing drink to carry out to the field on a hot day. Can also be served hot in the winter.
