Ingredients

- 1 to 1-1/2 lbs ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 2 C. elbow macaroni
- 3/4 C. water
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tsp. chopped garlic
- 1–26 to 32 oz. can spaghetti sauce
- 2 C. shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown hamburger with onions, salt, pepper and garlic in iron skillet on stove top.
- Add macaroni, spaghetti sauce and water. Cover and cook over medium heat until macaroni is tender, about 15 minutes, stirring often.
- When tender, turn off stove and stir in 1-1/2 cups of cheese. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup on top and cover with lid for 5 minutes to melt.
Notes
Optional: Add chili powder and green peppers for chili mac.
Optional: Add pepperoni and replace 1 cup cheese with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese for pizza mac.
