John Moody

John and Jessica are a homesteading family of eight, with kids ages 1-16. The Moody family homesteads on 35 acres in the rolling hills of Kentucky. When ill health nearly ended John’s life, he turned to real food which led their family on a journey back to the land. Now well known for their work teaching people how to build soil, beat weeds, and embrace traditional plants like elderberry, the Moodys are popular speakers at conferences across the nation. John is an elderberry expert and the author of The Elderberry Book, DIY Sourdough and The Frugal Homesteader.
