It’s time for the biggest event Kidron, Ohio hosts all year: The Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale and Auction opens today at 4 pm.
This evening, local folks can browse all the sale booths before the out-of-town crowds hit tomorrow for the famous quilt auction. Be sure to arrive by 6:30 p.m.–the music program starts then in the main tent. This year’s musical guests are John Schmid, the Loren Glick Family and the Miller Sisters. Friday night is all about ecumenical family fun!
Keep in mind that Saturday is the biggest day at the sale. The pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs breakfast is served at 7 a.m., and the 5K Run for Relief steps off at 8 a.m. The cornhole and volleyball tournaments begin early too. The quilt auction opens promptly at 10 a.m., with over 100 handmade quilts on the block.
As always there is no admission fee. Parking and shuttle services are free; handicap parking is available. Wheelchairs are available. For more information, and a schedule for both days, visit www.ohiomccreliefsale.org

no animals auctioned, its things like quilts, furniture, handmade stuff, lots of food, and more.
Cindy: This is strictly a fundraising auction, sponsored by our friends from the Mennonite Central Committee. Crafts, quilts, collectibles are auctioned–no animals! Visit the website for more details: http://www.ohiomccreliefsale.org. It’s a wonderful cause, and we’re pleased to be able to support this fundraiser that helps the MCC assist folks here in our community and around the world.
