It’s The Pits!

Every now and then we make a discovery that completely changes the quality of our lives. Take seedless watermelons, for example. It sure is fun to chew my way down to the rind without having to pause and spit! Who knew? Along those same lines, imagine for a moment that you could have a fresh sweet cherry with no pit. Or, even better, imagine a pit-less cherry with no sacrifice in taste.

You may be surprised to find out that there is such a thing as a seedless cherry. Best of all, it is not created by some sort of monstrous genetic engineering science experiment!

Fresh pie cherries, ready to pick!

Seedless cherries can be produced effortlessly any time with our cherry pitters. We have sold these cherry pitters for years, mainly to people who use them to make pies. They certainly save hours when you have bushels of sour pie and canning cherries to put up for winter preserves.

One thing I didn’t realize how easily they could be used to pit sweet Montpelier and Bing cherries! A few years ago I tried it on a box of juicy, big black cherries from the supermarket. I was amazed at how much fun it was to eat those tasty Bing cherries without stopping to spit! You should try it. I promise you will enjoy pitted cherries more than any other cherry you’ve ever eaten in your life!

The best thing is that modern pitters like the ones we sell remove the pit with almost no damage to the cherry. If you are just eating them for fun, they still have the same pleasing crunch you’ve come to expect from fresh, unpitted cherries.

(And, by the way, if you are using them for pies or preserves they will produce a much better looking end product!)

If you love cherry season as much as I do, you have to try it. Order your cherry pitter today!
